Eric Kallio has been creating his own fusion of folk and improvisational music while living in the sleepy village of Government Camp on Mt. Hood. With a strong background in lead improvisation, he spices up his singer/songwriter approach with versatile and harmonically complex embellishments. His albums “Glass Wood & Steel” and “Life Force” show his evolution as a songwriter, as well as his ability to wield a wide variety of instruments and playing styles. His live experience showcases 3 different iconic American acoustic guitars. The dreadnaught, The tri-cone resonator, and the square-neck dobro. It’s refreshing to experience these instruments and playing styles changing throughout the performance. Offering original music and re-vamped traditional pieces, Eric does his part to hold the torch of modern folk music using his glass slide, steel tone bar, and finger-style approaches
